The searching team found the remains of 34 soldiers of the Soviet Army in the territory of the village where Tula Distillery 1911 is located. Their burial will take place on the 29th of April. The project of the monument was designed in such a way that in the future it would be possible to make additional burials, because there is an assumption that there are still soldiers missing in action nearby.

Historical information about the distillery during the wartime

Until the end of the war the distillery produced much-needed products for the front, and the production plan had been exceeded every single month. While retiring with heavy fighting, the Red Army had the order not to leave anything to the fascist invaders, obviously for this reason a tank of spirit was set on fire at the distillery, the fire was visible at a great distance, and the children even got excited. Later, the distillery's equipment was dismantled and the evacuation to the east of the country began. Decreasing the planned recovery time thrice as much the distillery started operating on the 8th of March, 1942.

The distillery and post-war memory

When remains of soldiers were found we assigned the equipment for the production of works, organized the storage of the remains and decided to organize a solemn burial ceremony, because we value the feat of our ancestors. The Administration of Tula region represented by the Governor plans to pay the homage at the ceremony. The event will take place on the 29th of April, 2021.
